1976 Raiders are apparently the "greatest team of all time"

I love Raiders fans. Always bitching about the Tuck Rule but always conveniently forgetting that horrendous roughing the passer call on Sugar Bear. At least the Raiders went to the Super Bowl the year after the Tuck Rule. The Patriots wouldn't become relevant again until Bledsoe.
A man's gotta play the hand he's dealt.

Bah. Silliness. '85 Bears, '07 Pats, '89 49ers all were more dominant. This is the problem with the popular 'text in your vote' things. Popularity and fan base organization trumps reality.

How can they be the best team?Yes,they won the Super Bowl, but by the stats on this site their defense wasn't that great.Their offense was really good, but I believe (and it's not possible to know, really)some of the other teams in that poll would win.And I don't believe they wouldn't beat the #1 defense in the Super Bowl era.

To compare salary cap teams with non-salary cap teams, to compare post 1978 teams with pre 1978 teams, etc etc.

None of us can take this seriously.
